Meet Attorney Douglas L. Melevin
Over 40 Years of Zealous Advocacy and Effective Representation
At the office of Douglas L. Melevin, Lawyer, I have over four decades of experience representing people throughout the central Willamette Valley and Oregon Coast, including Eugene and Springfield. I focus my solo practice on providing zealous advocacy and committed representation for individuals facing criminal defense, family law and personal injury matters.
I obtained my J.D. from the University of Oregon Law School in 1965 and have been a trial attorney my entire career. Prior to going into private practice, I was a Deputy District Attorney for the Lane County District Attorney's Office for almost six years. I later became Chief Trial Attorney for Lane County, supervising the work of 25 prosecutors.
In addition to being a seasoned litigator, I am skilled in alternative dispute resolution methods and am a court-appointed arbitrator for the Circuit Court. I am admitted to practice in all federal, state and municipal courts in Oregon.
